The Top/Bottom Keno Ticket is as Easy as the Straight Keno Ticket
Keno is basically the same no matter where you play it. If you play keno in a real casino, you'll enjoy all the little flourishes like marking the keno ticket with a keno crayon, relaxing in the keno lounge and waiting for the keno caller. However, online keno is much faster and straightforward so that could counterbalance the flourishes. On the other hand, online keno is way more convenient, which is the final feather in online keno's hat, making it the keno of choice for most people. No matter where you play keno, the game uses 80 balls numbered 1 thru 80. In every round of keno, you pick numbers and then the house or the computer draws 20 numbered balls and you hope that you've guessed at least some of the drawn keno numbers.
The Top/Bottom Keno Ticket Chooses the Numbers for You
Other than choosing numbers, you also have to choose the type of keno ticket you want to mark. A straight keno ticket is the easiest ticket to fill out but, after a while, you may get tired of the straight ticket. If that happens, online keno casinos offer more complicated tickets like the way ticket and the top/bottom ticket. In the case of a top/bottom keno ticket, all you do is mark off which area of the ticket - top half or bottom half - you want to bet on, and all the numbers in that area become the numbers you've chosen. If 11 or more of the numbers in the half you've chosen are drawn, you've won (and if more than 11 numbers are drawn then you've won even more). (Rules vary in different casinos and on some sites you win if at least 12 or 13 of the numbers are drawn; make sure to check the pay schedules.)
Tickets like top/bottom keno tickets (or left/right tickets) don't change the basics of the game but they do make the game more interesting. Top/bottom tickets are easy to figure out and they're also quick since you don't have to sit there and remember your wife's birthday or your address when you were a kid. Top/bottom keno tickets are also way less complicated than way or combination tickets so many people opt for them because of their simplicity. Any way you cut it, though, vertically or horizontally, keno will entertain you as long as you feel luck is in your corner.
